On the MoU between the US and Iran

THE Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) notes with optimism the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Iran and the United States of America (USA). This is expected to bring much-needed relief to people across the globe, who have been severely affected by the unwarranted US-Israel aggression against Iran.

CPI(M) Welcomes Delhi High Court Judgement on NewsClick

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on June 12, 2026

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) welcomes the Delhi High Court judgement quashing the FIR registered by the Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police and the subsequent Enforcement Directorate case against Newsclick and its Editor-in-Chief, Prabir Purkayastha. The verdict is a stern warning against the misuse of government agencies for political vendetta.

Condemn the Killing of Three Indian Seafarers, Demand Accountability

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on June 12, 2026

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) strongly condemns the killing of three Indian seafarers in the attack on the oil tanker MT Settebello in the Gulf region. This tragic incident is yet another consequence of the reckless and aggressive military interventions carried out by US Imperialism in West Asia, which continue to destabilize the region, threaten international peace, and endanger the lives of innocent civilians and workers.

Withdraw Fuel Price Hike

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on May 15, 2026.

THE Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) strongly condemns the Union government’s decision to hike the prices of petrol, diesel and CNG.  The hike of ₹3 per litre in petrol and diesel and ₹2 per kg in CNG will impose more burdens on the working people already reeling under inflation, unemployment, stagnant wages and deepening economic distress.
