On the Assembly Election Results

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on May 4, 2025

The two major features of the assembly election results are the serious setback to the Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Keralam and the victory of the BJP in West Bengal. The DMK-led alliance also suffered a setback in Tamil Nadu, where the TVK led by Vijay emerged as a major force.

Supreme Court Order on Reservation

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on March 25, 2026.

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) firmly disagrees with the Supreme Court’s endorsement of the Andhra Pradesh High Court order to the effect that once an individual converts to Christianity and actively professes and practices the same, he cannot be regarded as a member of the Scheduled Caste community.

Right to Menstrual Leave

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on March 14, 2026

The Supreme Court of India has made some negative and discriminatory observations while disposing off a petition seeking menstrual leave for working women. The Chief Justice of India has reportedly observed that nobody will hire women if such a law is made. Strangely, the court further observed, that such a leave can be harmful to the growth of industry.
