An Imbalanced Trade Deal

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement on February 03, 2026.

The announcement of a trade deal between the US and India has generated euphoria in the corporate media. But this is completely misplaced as the details of the agreement are not yet available. It is only when the full scope and details of the trade deal are available, one can make a proper assessment.

Strong Condemnation of US Aggression and Kidnapping Conspiracy

CPI(M) Polit Bureau has issued the following statement on January 12, 2026

A BROAD-based public meeting in solidarity with Venezuela was organised today at the Harkishan Singh Surjeet Bhavan, New Delhi, to protest against US aggression, the conspiracy to abduct the democratically elected President of Venezuela and the First Lady, and to express solidarity with the people of Venezuela.

In Solidarity with Kerala

CPI(M) Polit Bureau has issued the following statement on January 12, 2026

THE Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has extended its wholehearted support to Kerala’s satyagraha and expressed solidarity with the LDF Government in its struggle in defence of its rights and against the centre's attack on federalism and denial of the state's rights. The struggle is also against the Union Government’s financial neglect towards the state.

CPI(M) Polit Bureau has issued the following statement on December 20, 2025.

THE Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) expresses its deep concern over the recent developments in Bangladesh. It urges the interim government of Bangladesh to act immediately against attacks on media outlets and minorities, and to protect the rights of the people. The two most revered cultural institutions Chhayanot and Udichi have come under dastardly attack.

Oppose the Entry of Private Companies in Nuclear Production and 100 percent FDI in Insurance

CPI(M) Polit Bureau has issued the following statement on December 13, 2025

THE Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) opposes the Union Cabinet’s decision to open nuclear power generation to allow the entry of private and foreign companies. It also disapproves of the Cabinet’s decision to allow 100 per cent foreign direct investment (FDI) in the insurance sector.
